The Skinny:

Chris Hoffman was born and raised in Zimbabwe, Southern Africa, and made his way to California in 2004, where he worked as Art Director while at bi-coastal Transistor Studios’ LA office. In his early years at Transistor, Chris Hoffman worked on a lot of fun loving Vh1 and MTV work, where he was allowed to experiment and play around with design and color. It is here that he built a reputation for himself in the industry and gained respect amongst his peers including his mentor, Bradley Grosh (GMUNK). Since leaving Transistor he has worked as Art Director for Superfad in 2007, and has been commissioned for freelance collaborations with numerous power-house studios including Imaginary Forces, Picture Mill, Riot (Method Studios) and Umeric to mention a few, while collecting numerous awards along the way. Chris served as creative director of Deva LA before co-founding well respected creative production studio The Core in 2008. Chris has helmed a wide range of campaigns including Cisco, Yahoo, VW, Samsung, Lego Star Wars, At&t, Burger King, Geek Squad, Toshiba and Sony Picture’s massive international network rebrand for AXN. Chris Hoffman is known for his bold use of color in his design based commercials and live action work. He also brings a unique point of view to his work having come from a vastly different culture and background, along with having worked on a wide range of brands in the United States.

He currently lives and works in LA.

Over the past 19 years, Matt Hartle has worked on over a hundred A list features in a variety of capacities ranging from visual effects and main title design to theatrical advertising and motion graphics. He has helmed departments as 3d Director/Creative Director at two major film advertising companies, BLT Communications in Hollywood and Deva Studios in Santa Monica. Some career highlights include Super Man – Man of Steel, several of the Harry Potter Films, the  Sony Pictures Animation Logo and the Lionsgate Logo. While on these projects, Matt has had the privilege of working with many wonderful directors including Steven Spielberg, Chris Columbus, John Favreau and Wolfgang Peterson.

In addition to Matt’s many years of CGI, VFX and practical production experience, writing and directing has also been a major focus. Over the last 10 years he has written a number screenplays and directed several short films and many special projects for a variety of clients.
